Hullo and welcome, esteemed neighbour, to the Silly Epic Poetry of Nigel Poh & Gerald Tan.
The pages herein contain works in the tradition of fantasy literature and the epic narrative - melancholic odes,
ballads of heroism and other feats of dramatic limerickery. For the most part, you will find our on-going attempts to
chronicle the misadventures of Sir Bastien Gudo, Knight of Renhorden, and his boon companion, Grig Syllable the
bard of Rondel, as they cut a swashbuckling swath of chivalric minstrelsy through the lands of Alconia and beyond
in their quest to defeat the forces of evil and ennui while trying keep their horses from the clutches of dastardly
horse-thieves everywhere. So kick back with a mug of honeyed ale and read on!
Nigel Poh is the brandisher of a law degree from Queen Mary College, University of London, and a
Masters Degree from University College London. Aside from writing the odd silly limerick (see above for examples), he enjoys reading Tolkien, Brian Jacques, and other writers of a similar vein.
A man of consummate taste and hearty appetite, he also devotes attention to science-fiction movies, small bears and
roasted duck.
Gerald Tan was born in 1972. While studying for an Arts degree at the National University of Singapore, he determined that his purpose in life was to nurse unhealthy obsessions for Japanese pop music and Virginie Ledoyen.
Invariably, this scribe and scholar reads old AD&D manuals in the toilet and will occasionally ink his Music Critic's Quill for the local rock n' roll rag, BigO Magazine.
