Cordiebaby of the Bears, whose perfect understanding of modern economics notwithstanding, is beloved by teddy bears, polar bears, boo boo bears, grisly bears, stogie-smoking smokie bears, and also many people in general. Her name, being Greek-Aramaic for "Jewel of the Sea", has alas nothing to do with bears, but appears to increase the attraction of pirates to her person. Der Bearfreund is pictured left in a copy of a controversial woodcut holding a piglet... with, as some cynics have pointed out, not a bear in sight. This is simply because she is keeping them all here. |
