Produced by no less an authority on girlie voices than David Kahne (the man who brought us the Bangles!), lisahall are an English pop quartet fronted by girlie-voiced singer/writer Lisa Hall. While that proposition seems innocuous enough, what's problematic is that the resultant album sounds like some hideously dull cross between the Sneaker Pimps and the Corrs without the violins, the tin whistles and the melodies. This stuff is destined for pop purgatory, and good only if you don't really care what it is you fall asleep to. And probably not even then.

Comparing to the erm... Corrs - how broad and deep your knowledge stretches.
Get out of yer chair and lose your front room tan, see what's actually happening
in the "real" musical world and then stop wasting energy and keyboard strokes

COMMENTS: This is a 'Toss' review from an obviously 'Complete tosser' of a reviewer.
This debut album has some stuff way ahead of anything hanging around a chart
scene at the moment. Did you put your C.D. upside down in the drive or
something? Some excellent gigs in London have done the band no harm at all, and I just
can't wait till it all gets very BIG! Brilliant!

COMMENTS: What the f**k did you listen to? You know your
a great reviewer, you managed to be completely
biased. I doubt however that your comments really
mean zippo matey. How the hell do The Corrs and
The Sneaker Pimps fit in with Lisahall? Neither
sound anything like the group. This prompts my
one burning question, did you actually listen to
the album? Me thinks you didn't. Get a life, it
may bring the best out in you.

COMMENTS: Come on ther reveiw of this album was appaling. I saw the band at Staffordshire
University a few weeks ago and they got a great response. This was one of the
best performances we've had at the SU. You'll probably say that the if we
reckon it was one of the best then we've had some crap and have no taste. Bear
in mind most of the students there are doing Music Technology (such as myself)
and are going to be producers etc. So therefore we know are stuff. Live
they're excellent, now I'm going to buy their CD online. Show support where
it's deserved.
